Enrique Lopez Rodriguez
Enrique is an extragalactic astronomer with a particular focus on the study of the influence of magnetic fields in galaxy evolution. His research characterizes the feeding of material onto supermassive black holes at the center of active galaxies and the structure of the magnetic fields in their host galaxies. Enrique is leading the efforts of a SOFIA Legacy Program, which aims to produce the first comprehensive survey of magnetic fields in nearby galaxies using multi-wavelength analysis to trace the magnetic fields in the multi-phase interstellar medium of galaxies.
