Charles Yang

Charles is a first-year graduate rotation student. He studied chemistry and physics at Carnegie Mellon University in undergrad and focused primarily in condensed matter. In his rotation, he is exploring astrophysics for the first time, using the Faraday rotation and thermal dust emission around the Perseus molecular cloud to model how expanding bubbles may have modified the surrounding magnetic fields. In his free time, Charles enjoys rock climbing, reading, and listening to far too much music.
